Tragedy: The Burning Maze fits this story archetype. A really sad moment happens when an important character dies near the end of the book, and it affects Apollo and everyone else a lot. This shows Tragedy because the loss can’t be undone and it happens because of bad choices made by the gods. This event changes Apollo making him serious and caring, and he starts to understand that his actions have real consequences.

Summary: In The Burning Maze, the main characters are Apollo, Meg, and Piper, and the story is about Apollo trying to survive deadly trials and stop the evil emperors. The book takes place across modern-day North America in the present time. The events happen because Zeus punished Apollo in The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle , and the story is told in chronological order from Apollo’s first-person point of view.
