We get it its summer! I can't tell whether this is meant to dictate the slow passing of the years between each visit between "you" and "her" or its just a deliberately frustrating way of repeating the absolute mundanity of life. I cannot wait to be done with this book.

There is such a level of sweetness in the way the narrator describes his longing to hold her when they sleep

This feels like a forgettable book. I'm going through the motions of reading but theres nothing spectacular yet that makes me want to keep going
