Every time I’m a little dubious of the leash, the “gonna over explain a bit or add some convenience,” the story pulls me back in and shows me that there’s real care in how this story was crafted. excellent and engaging and hard to put down.

Having lived in Monterey, reading a Speculative Fiction novel set in nearby Carmel is so soothing. Enjoying this quite a bit.

I live how quickly we move from “it’s all normal right?” into “no, there’s a mystery here.”
