Two thirds of the way through and oppression/sadism is taken as romance. The plot line has branched too often. The surprise twists have nullified all the hard work put in by several characters including the MC.

It’s a slow start. The main character is developing. The secondary characters are one dimensional, if they are lucky. The school bullies that torment the main characters pop up like wack-a-moles. Then, they drop out of the plot to pop up again later with new bullies and new ways to bend the knee of the MC and her half human siblings. It’s a bit disappointing.
