Idk if it's the fact that I've never listened to the audiobook version but I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS OK
-is Matthias. . . . A jerk?
-are rat mothers just really bad at giving their kids actual names? Like do they look at their newborn babies and are like "yeah you're Frogblood and you're Ripnose." Like Cluny is the only one with a name that I believe he's had this whole time
-Is this a post-human world??

Decided to listen to the whole series in 2026. Nostalgic AF but I have lots of questions including:
-why does Matthias start out as a bumbling idiot dreamer then suddenly becomes the de facto military leader of Redwall Abbey with like no transition?
-What is the accent they gave Cluny and should I be worried?
-do mice have gender roles?
-am I going to ruin this series for myself??
