This is disgusting and I fully believe anyone who could give it five stars or read it in two days out of sheer interest have too much respect for craft and not enough respect for subject material. Nabakov must've realized, surely, that the only reason this was published was not out of sympathy to victims (himself potentially included), but out of delight at the material and outrage that would ensue.
