Idk what it says about me that this is the most I’ve ever laughed at a book

Cannot stop cackling at, “When I was small, Mother took me to a parish churchyard, pointed to a tombstone and said, ‘that’s your father.’ It was only after I learned to read that I discovered the grave belonged to one Isla Haynes, dead a good ten years before I was born.”

so many weird things in this book but I can picture it all so clearly. This author is my favorite kind of unhinged and I am here for it
