Jack How are you finding this? I read it last year, thought it was well written

Quite the absorbing read, Jack. The writing is mostly unobtrusive, competent and accessible. I do not, however, like some of the lines that consist of BOOM or CRACK or when the sun was sad, or when the clock made little explosions or some such at the beginning of the novel, etc. (I wish I'd jotted down some quotes). Still looking like a 4 despite some of the, what I would call, weak spots which aren't too glaring.

Oldman_JE Oh, here's an example: "The last note, high C, was still his strongest, strung in the air as if it could hang Christmas lights."

Jack That's a good note (yours, not the high C) and one I didn't notice. I remember feeling the pacing dragged a little in the back end but enjoyed it overall - I can dig out my review when you're done. Hope you enjoy.

Maybe I won't hit a drag. Enjoying, thanks!
