Some of the author’s choices were a little odd for my taste, but I guess that comes with the territory of writing a YA book sometimes to make the flow of everything make more sense to younger minds.

Madoc, I hope you're on the good side, and Balekin is good, Dain is bad. You suck but I also think this book covers at least the beginning of your redemption arc.
