Not 100% sure I'm keen... lots of references to women as "females" and abuse of them/references to them as "mating partners" for men and dragon riders. Seems pretty misogynistic so far?

I have a lot of nostalgia for the series as it was my gateway (at far too young), but can admit its not aged well in elements like that. Still love how it does dragons.
