I’m going to finish this book but want to say whoever in the publishing house told this author it would be okay for her main character to abandon her child for 12 years for the lame excuse that was provided - you should be fired. It’s bad enough the author wrote this but for someone to sign off on it - 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

There are several problematic issues with this book but this is the worst one.
