Finally getting around to Ryan Cahill’s self published fantasy epic , and there may not be anything groundbreaking here so far, but I was in the mood for something comfortably familiar, and the writing here is engaging and the pacing is excellent. So far, so good.

Yikes! I thought George Martin was brutal with his characters. Mr. Cahill is certainly giving him a run for his money here. 😳 This book started out so by the numbers, I almost stopped, but we’re heading into some interesting directions now and I’m all in.
