Both good sports mangas, Haikyu is a faster read, in my opinion, and good if you want average sports manga in the "teamwork makes us better" kind of way and fun characters. While, if you want something less about teamwork and with "edgyness" in the character department, then Blue Lock is the series to read, a good read but for me took longer to read, like matches sometimes feel too long, but can also be me reading it weekly for years now xD If you want a sport one that develops more into a drama story later on maybe try Hajime no Ippo, I know lots of chapters, and on going with no sights of being close to the ending soon..., but they aren't that long, it does starts focus on Ippo's journey boxing, but with time it focus more on his inner struggles
