If you're going to write a book about a girl who has a thing for poisonous plants, maybe do some cursory research into the plants you're writing about? I have a black thumb and even I know you don't react to poison ivy immediately.

Also some people aren't allergic, it's not crazy that Briseis doesn't have a reaction. Especially not within seconds 🙄 This is going to bug me so much
