Already greatly helped and encouraged by the way Hamilton teaches the interpretive perspective of the biblical authors by immersing himself and his readers in the text. He doesn’t speak of biblical typology as an abstract discipline, or a hermeneutical principle that must be fully developed prior to reading Scripture, but, as a docent, he explicates it and the authors’ usage of it by appealing to the text itself
