READ THE BOOK SYNOPSIS. I wish I had. I thought I was reading a book about a corner of the US that produced an outsized population of serial killers. While included in the book, a too large portion is dedicated to the purported cause: drastic environmental pollution, predominantly lead and arsenic. Surely this book broke records for use of the word, “smelter.”

Lots of non-PNW killers too, which annoyed me.
