To this point, EoE is the most intelligently written novel I’ve picked up. I will say, I haven’t really read much fiction, but I see why this is amongst everyone’s best or favorite books lists. Steinbeck writes as if he lived 250 years and had over double the time to ponder these themes and characters than the average person would. True genius, and I’ve loved every page.
