This is...bad. Just bad. I don't know where all the praise is originating from, but I have to assume it's from the historically illiterate and people who have never read a Solomon Kane story before. E.G.: Puritans were PRO-slavery, not anti-. European slavers BOUGHT African slaves at African (usually Islamic) slave-markets, they didn't hunt & capture them.

This is...disappointing. I knew the writer could never match Howard's prose, but it's RIDDLED with anachronisms and thoroughly modern moralizin.
