This has greatly shaped my main character's identity because she originally belonged to 3 factions, but had to chose 1. She is told to ignore her differences by her parents and friends, but now she can embrace her traits.

The identity of the character, Tris, is more complicated than the other characters. This is because she is divergent. She is made up of 3 factions, which means that she carries traits that people don't usually have at the same time. She craves knowledge, is a brave leader, but is also selfless, wanting to protect others. Tris wants to hide her divergence, and can be embarrassed because people often shame it. Goal 50.

I can relate to the main character of my book. Like tris, I am smaller than my peers, but I also have a psychological advantage on most of them. Tris often finds herself in situations in which she must act as a leader to less experienced companions, such as fighting the erudite and jumping on and off of moving trains. I sometimes feel that I must act like a leader when I am with my primarily younger family. Goal 80
