Seeing the change in the main character at the start of this book is a great follow on from how the first book, The Midnight Lie, ended, yet it’s still upsetting even though I knew she’d be totally different. Even just in the first 30 pages I’ve got a good idea of how the world is changing and I’m excited to read more!
