It’s very intriguing and engaging. The way in which the author is now starting to feel the heartbreak and the loss of his love, but caused by external factors. The government and how they’d test them. One seeming to choose the route to conform to survive, while the author seemingly feeling suffocated by the control of the government, and the pain and betrayal of the loss of his love.
