My last Giant Tome of One Specific Author's Work read was slowly making my way through The Complete Short Stories of J.G. Ballard in 2025, so I figured I'd do something else. The stars aligned so that I was able to watch an author panel with Victor LaValle and Brian Evenson discussing At the Mountains of Madness in December + I am planning to do LaValle's The Ballad of Black Tom in the summer for the library book club I run, so I figured this would be worth digging into.
