I only wish more people could see the general updates!
I too wish people could see general updates. My feed is set to "Bookish Updates", so GR nicely skips all General Updates, assuming they aren't bookish. 🙄Profile messages are useful only if users browse through the desktop site. App users get a notification that someone has commented on their profile, but when they click on the notif, no comments are visible.
I was just going through my entire friends' list and making sure that I have alternate points of contact for all good friends.
Those who are planning to migrate to Fable: Keep in mind that it is app-exclusive. No desktop posts possible at all, which is a bummer for people like me who use the computer instead of the phone to write reviews. 😢
Those moving to Storygraph: It has great graphs, but the community is almost dead except if you like to participate in challenges. They have newly started a Buddy Read feature, if you find that appealing. But I mostly hate the interface.
