I find myself wanting to read of this book a single daily page, that I may better absorb the material without the losses of a speedier pace.

I can’t tell you how much I love to read things like the following.
“When he breakfasted or dined, all the resources of the club—its kitchens and pantries, its buttery and dairy—aided to crowd his table with their most succulent stores.”
Something about the employment of common language in shifted forms (or rather, it has been since shifted)… it’s wonderful and my mind continuously moves to adopt it
