personally if i were ever kidnapped & then my closest friend blabbed to her husband that i lowkey wanted to disappear & then said husband blabbed to the press abt this & then the entire narrative around my disappearance changed to she actually ran away she wasn't kidnapped... i would escape my kidnapper just to return & kill myself in front of all these people to forever change their bond & trajectory of their lives
