It just hits different to see an elderly queer couple who, despite the hardships that come with being queer, managed to stay together for so long and be happy in the end 🥲

The past break up being over a stupid misunderstanding disappointed me a bit. I prefer when the characters were actually intentionally rude/bad for personal reasons, so they can grow from that to regain the other person's trust yk. Misunderstanding is such a lazy trope. Still enjoying the book though it's really fun
