I’m starting to realize that this book is disappointing me. The narrative and the plot feel so fragmented and empty that it’s genuinely sad. It does convey the atmosphere the main character is in quite well, but beyond that, there isn’t much. There’s a lot of filler, if you removed the protagonist’s rambling reflections, the book would be about a hundred pages shorter. Unfortunately, for now, I’m feeling disappointed

The beginning is quite intriguing, but there are still many things that remain unclear. I’m already on page 78, yet no coherent background has been provided so far. I’m also quite bothered by the narrative style: there are far too many short, simple sentences, which makes the text feel very flat, as if it were written in fragments and then merged into a single paragraph. Perhaps I’ll get used to it over time.
