This book does a good job of explaining some of the problems with “big philanthropy” or philanthropy through large individual donors and institutions. However, the arguments supporting philanthropy through smaller groups primarily use story-telling arguments more than actual fact-based arguments. And although the book aims to promote the benefits giving circles, in my opinion it makes them seem like a nightmare
