jfc we went from 0 to 100 real quick here…from love declarations to attempted assassination

I hate insta-love. I know I’m 94% through the book but the fact it still feels like insta love is crazy 😭😩

There’s so many callbacks in this book to ACOTAR, specifically regarding Rhysand and Draven. The violet/indigo eyes, the mind reading/talking/walls, the pens that allow them to write back-and-forth to each other magically… at first I tried to ignore it bc I try to give books the benefit of the doubt as there’s no such thing as an original idea, but now it just feels like a cheap copy of Rhysand’s character
