I am enjoying it but am finding it very hard to read - many scenes of sexual assault. I do find it could have been more impactful if less detailed (like Madeline Miller’s Circe).
I also struggle to find how it’s a feminist retelling specifically, and can’t help but wonder if it’s normalising rape - though that might be what the author wants us to question
