i still don’t really care for this romance! but the plot is thickening. finally

obsessed with this one side character who takes full advantage of her vampiric abilities to throw herself in the path of serial killers because she enjoys the sensation of being brutally murdered over and over again because it reminds her of the last time she felt truly wanted / desired. big fan of her manic, moral decadence too. wow.

iris’ pov chapters are SO REDUNDANT. 😭 i feel like she only exists because the author doesn’t trust the readers to interpret and understand and sympathise with lucy’s character on their own but this character is genuinely such a waste of time.

I LOVE MINA HARKER SO MUCH. but am i supposed to care about iris?

i’m feeling so lukewarm about this book

i like how the book mimics the storytelling in dracula itself with these disparate narratives and i’m really curious to see how and where they finally converge.
