Audiobook lovers I wonder if you can help me. I love my audible subscription, the special offers etc etc however I have promised my kids I’d try to be more ethical in where my money goes. Does anyone know of somewhere that offers a similar service? If I purely buy audiobooks individually I’ll bankrupt myself quickly, sometimes I get through hundreds in a year x

Jayson Well, I don't use any subscription services, though I hear Spotify is getting into audiobooks soon and that many people have success with Kobo for both eBooks and audiobooks.

Personally, I read on average two or three audiobooks a month and I pretty much get them from my library via Libby. You might have to wait a while, and you're time limited like any library material, but it's free. I'm lucky to have access to both my city library and my provincial library for digital material. So it might be worth checking to see if you qualify for more than one.

Jo Lee Jayson, thanks for this great info. I think I’m currently swayed towards Libby, as a for now fix I’ve paused my audible subscription at least until I get through my backlog. I too had heard about Spotify but also seen that listening hours are limited which occasionally would work for me, mostly not. Kobo looked really confusing I didn’t understand how it actually worked. So for now I think your Libby suggestion is the way for me to go 🎧🎧

Jayson Happy I could help, Jo! I've had a lot of success with Libby and hope you do too 😁👍
