I’m so excited to have this. Rogers was my favourite comic book artist, and now I’m gonna learn about him and enjoy whatever artwork they’ve put in this. Thrilled!

Having a fabulous time with this. My first exposure to Marshall Rogers’ art was via a 2-issue reprint of the Remembrance of Threatening Green graphic novel. I had not seen comic book artwork like it before. I got to the Batman stuff only after becoming a Deadshot fan, and I remember thinking “well, that figures!” when I discovered Marshall Rogers had been first to draw the Deadshot costume, Detective Comics #474.

An interview with Marshall's sister starts the book, and provides as much as possible about MR's time as a child and young man. (Actually, a New York Times obituary page starts the book, which is a bit depressing - but it was a respectful write-up.) I suspect the structure of the book will get patchy and slightly random, as it relies on interviews. The photos - and the art! - will be a highlight.
