- [ ] She can’t move so he enchants the mat she’s on to get her to safety but he is brought down by an iron net
- [ ] Dara shot by a human weapon and badly injured
- [ ] Dara makes it back to the palace but has started lying to M

- [ ] Ali & Nahri packing to leave Cairo - very funny

- [ ] Dara at least starting to be disillusioned
- [ ] Dara remembering being summoned by the Nahid council
- [ ] Oh they definitely saw his talent and used their power against his naivety and youth
- [ ] Ah instead of killing survivors he brought them back to the capital and the Nahids banished him for it

- [ ] Nahri takes Ali to the bazaar
- [ ] “She survived trauma by suppressing it, by shoving back the grief and rage that would otherwise swallowed her whole.”
- [ ] Ali wants to go to Ta Ntry to raise the cause, Nahri doesn’t want to leave Cairo, they fight, she storms off
- [ ] Well, at least she finally admitted to herself she loved Dara
- [ ] Agrees with Ali’s plan after all
