Probably so. I wonder if there's similarities in structure or tone with "Iron John". I remember that being awfully dry...and in no way relevant to me as a man. Of course, I was like 18 when I read it. But, I don't think "Iron John" really tackled relationships in a way that was realistic or helpful to me.
