The in depth on all the characters like Polanski and Raymond (whoever tf that is) is getting to be a lot. However, it is an enjoyable read, just a little confusing and relies on your memory of the film. Also it just casually jumps time a lot in this chapter for no reason, like why did we reveal the ending and jump to Rick in the 70s for like 2 pages? I think I liked it but it certainly was odd.

Got so immersed into this chapter that I forgot it's just the plot of an episode of a show Rick Dalton is going to be in. The way Tarantino cares about this material and every piece inside of it is actually insane, mostly in a good way to the point.

Loved the story of how Cliff got and met his dog, but can't believe it's just slipped in that he killed his wife. I hope we get more details on that later in the book, that's one of the biggest reasons I wanted to read this, so I hope that's not all the context we get there. I like the chapters like this one

Much better than the last chapter. LOVED the story with the pig. I'm starting to understand what this book is going to be I think. The added backstory and context for Rick and Cliff is awesome, I just don't care about Tarantino geeking about movies. The stuff about Polanski was fine but I hope that's not in every chapter.

This second chapter was so annoying, Tarantino just used this as a random wishful diary about 60s movies, it was cool for the first couple pages until I realized that was the entire chapter. My god bruv

I like the differences in the opening convo compared to the movie. The fact that it doesn't have any thoughts or flashback to the flame thrower and adding those internal feelings has me really excited for how the rest of the book will play out. I don't think the movie could open with this scene, but it works well here. Looking forward to chapter 2
