(Note for 1/18/2026) Alright, alright, I get it. Everyone has something going for them except the protagonist. If this story woe-is-me any harder I might not be able to finish it. I feel like I need an antidepressant and a shower every time I stop reading. It’s not even dark or dramatic anymore, it’s just devolved into incessant and absolutely complete self-depreciative melancholy.

Getting more dramatic, and I am completely drawn in at this point. The author is able to bring the character to life WHILE reminding readers she’s already dead. I love it when I forget I’ve already been told something but forget because the plot is so thick and exciting!
