The author makes me keep turning pages because of how slice of life the characters are they just feels somewhat relatable.

Elements in the book Bruiser by Neal Shusterman, I would like to mimic in, my story would be subtle foreshadowing and just able to get deeper with plot. I like the subtle foreshadowing because it can either really stand out or just get you more thinking. I can incorporate this into my own work by well adding little bits and details that add more into the plot.

The foreshadowing I notice is that when the author is hiding Brewster's powers it doesn't show it but when other characters get hurt the next scene or page is Brewster taking their pain without directly pointing it out.

The main character Brewster romantic life is quite mild with the other main character Bronte however they care for each other a lot. Bronte does help Brewster with problems in his life helping him talk things out.

The big decision that really starts off the story and what is happening so far is with the two main characters Tennyson and Bronte letting the other main character Brewster into their life just get them all to know each other. With those two having Brewster be someone they care about is what keeps the story going.

The author switches paragraphs when new actions happen, and when dialogue comes up. They start a new paragraph to continue the story at a steady even pace. I feel it's better to do this cause with walls of text they just feel like blobs and can get the story a bit mixed up losing you deep in the pages cause if it's just a wall of text that's no good.
