The book is very informative about the civilizations from the Med to the Pacific. It’s fascinating to learn the different cultures that developed in the East over the centuries and how they affected the Europeans.
I’ve read 30% so far over a two month period as I spend time looking at maps and try to locate the cities mentioned.
