As close as Changez and Erica are, Erica still cannot get over Chris. Erica says Changez was the only other man that was as close with her since Chris, so why can't she get over him? Erica's relationship with Chris must have gone deeper than what we know so far in the book for her to act this way, as she breaks down in tears by simply talking about him with Changez. Could this impact Changez later on in the book?

After reading the first section of the book, I noticed Changez kept mentioning Erica after their trip together in Greece. This is interesting because I want to know further into the book what happens between them and how it impacts Changez. Changez is an excellent worker at Underwood Sampson, but I am curious if having Erica on his mind will impact him in the future.

Changez had started his new job at Underwood Sampson. Changez is a hard worker, and as a result, he doesn't get much sleep so he could stay as focused as he could in his classes. Underwood Sampson was the only job he believed he could not get accepted into, but now he was in, he worked tirelessly so he could keep his role there. All of his hard work pays off as he gets 1st place in the rankings at Underwood Sampson.

At the start of The Reluctant Fundamentalist, we were introduced to a character by the name of Changez. He was described as a smart and dedicated athlete from Pakistan. Changez leaves Pakistan to go to America so he can study at Princeton to have more opportunities of success and pursue his studies on a higher level. Changez is introduced as a hard worker and a smart person and I am excited to read more about him.
