She reminds me of Candace Owens making crazy claims on the radio expecting everyone to believe her every word.

She’s such a feminist of her time, I’m sure that word wasn’t used like that then. Aimee and even her mother, bucking the traditional women conventions through Christianity. The idea that Christianity in some ways bred feminist ideals in America seems like an under developed minor theme of this book.
