I was gonna tell you RuNyx's Dark Verse, but you already read it. Kingdom Fall by A. Zavarelli might fit - darkish mafia-esque. Or if you are game for a dark MF Omegaverse, the Blood Rites duet by Eva Dresden.

Hi I don't know you - but your post came across my feed thanks to @Annika! You should look into Behind The Broken + Inside The Wicked by Chloe C. Peñaranda It's not quiiiite mafia, but it's got the darkness you're looking for and a mafiaesque vibe for sure. It's also a complete duology. These were 5/4.5 star reads for me and I don't rate things that highly very often.
I read beautiful fiend by Lola king and it was good!! Not as dark as I thought it’d be (but a lot say it it DARK) but it has an actual plot line for the fmc and MMC separately plus a plot about the gag war they’re in!
