Finished the next novella, The Early History of Ambergris. Very unique and interesting for what it is. Of all the novellas in this book, this was the one I thought I would like the least; it’s a fictional historical account of a city containing frequent footnotes. I ended up loving it!

Started the next novella, “An Early History of Ambergris.”

Finished the first novella, Dradin, in Love. I cannot stress enough how phenomenal this story is. Easy 5/5, BRB gotta go write an essay about it. VanderMeer, your mind is a crazy place.

I’m doing it, I’m finally doing it. Had to read an excerpt of this for a college class and I’ve danced around reading the whole thing for years.
