Chapters 21-30:
The Venerate (a group of immortal beings) are spectacular. Terrifying, and wayyyyy too powerful, but wow they are good characters.
The pacing of this book has been very slow in comparison to the plot of the series, however it feels like so much has happened, but I guess that’s what happens when a majority of one perspective is reliving memories of tens and hundreds of millennia.

Chapters 11-20:
Augurs new and old terrorise Davian.
Flashbacks are currently my favourite part of the book.
Wirr’s perspective is an actual wreck, and Asha is super silly.
But this Augur… terrifying.

Chapters 1-10:
A simple aftermath of the disaster at the end of book 1. Everyone is recovering, and all 4 individuals (yes, 4 perspectives) are now starting to develop into significant storylines.
So far I have Asha, Davian, Caeden and Wirr as my order. But definitely subject to change.
