When they mentioned the Self-Aware type zombies, and had a little blurb in the manga about a zombie falling for a human, I thought they'd mention Sanakarea or whatever.

Anyways, yeah, lots of new zombie types to learn about and movies to watch if you're a zombie fan in here. Not too familiar with the Deathless and the Vengeful Soul-type. Zombie rain does make me remember an Itchy and Scratchy zombie cartoon though

Can see why there were complaints about the third chapter of this book. Set up is basically: 1) swing overhead or side to side at head, 2) These items are hard / easy to obtain in Japan, 3) Train; we can't tell you much of how, look it up on your own. Repeat that ad nauseum. The first two chapters I liked because they introduced you to Zombie fiction and history. I am a bit curious about shovel use in military though

Never thought I'd see Alistair Crowley get a mention in this (learned about him and Jack Parsons in The Secret History of Twin Peaks a few months back). Touches on some history of zombies from both media and cultural perspectives starting with the US occupation of Haiti where the imagery of Voodoo was witnessed and perhaps fabricated somewhat by Journalists.
