Once you get past all the heretical Mormon-esque theology that is pervasive in the first 1/3 of the book, it’s quite a compelling story.

I made the mistake of buying a mass market paper back but in hardback form…my eyes must be old because dang that text is small.

I will never buy another mass market paperback…oooofff the print is so small

As any casual follower can tell, I tend to give authors a second or even third chance. I highly recommend skipping the forward of any Orson Scott Card book…they are rarely illuminating and remind the reader of the more tedious elements of his writing - which I lack any found reflections.
