I have never been inclined to read David Copperfield, but I think this is probably better anyways. Barbara Kingsolver is brilliant, and I am lucky to exist at the same time as her, because, geez louise, the woman can write! I can appreciate the value of Dickens on literature, but the serials are not for me. Kingsolver, however, I would read her grocery list if she gave it to me.
