my blind-book-date :) the wrapping intrigued me because whoever wrote on it said the author plotted this trilogy from the get go and really knew what they were doing lol. The pacing is slow-ish but not terribly, it moreso feels like the first book in a trilogy where you’re getting to know the characters, setting the scene, etc.
