Tuchman maintains that christian theology deems a merchant cannot sell his items for profit, only to cover the cost of ingredients to make said item. Yet once again we’re in a part of history where there was a huge disparity between the halves and they have nots. Tendency of humans to want to get us much possible for as little as possible.
