On the bright side: it fills me with hope. Had I read this book in 2013 when it first came out, I’d have swallowed the misinformation and hatred as being ‘normal’ and ‘just the way it is’. Having picked it up now, I can recognize the progress that we’ve made for inclusion and understanding each other.
